Sustainability
Key aspects of sustainable shipping include adopting alternative fuels, improving vessel energy efficiency, and implementing technological and operational measures like slow steaming and ship design innovations.
Our fleet is equipped with the latest technology and complies with the stringent requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). A significant proportion of these vessels were constructed or adapted with fuel-saving devices. All vessels are regularly maintained and modernized, and they all meet the most demanding requirements regarding air pollutants and ballast water treatment. We use scrubbers and ballast water treatment systems to minimize Sulphur emissions and protect ecosystems.
While progress is being made, it is essential to acknowledge the challenges that persist. Emissions from fuel production and fuel consumption spills over to cargo owner. Implementing sustainable practices in shipping requires significant investment, as well as logistical challenges across the entire product supply chain of our exclusive charterer.
In close collaboration with the vessel owners, we drive sustainable shipping by investing in fuel-efficient eco-ships and adopting innovative technologies.
We follow a holistic approach: We are constantly looking for the most effective solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our ships, managing the business risks of our vessel owners and helping our exclusive charterer to identify new sources of profit.
